Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane and her husband, actor Ameer Gilani, have announced the birth of their first child, a baby boy named Syed Azmar Hussain Kamal Gilani.
Mawra Hocane shares her son’s name
In a post on X, Hocane said Azmar means “lion.” She described her son as “the king of our jungle” and shared a clip of Gilani reciting the Azan into the baby’s ears.
The announcement was public by October 25, 2026. The couple did not specify their son’s date of birth in the information available.
The couple’s acting careers
Hocane appeared in the 2016 Bollywood film Sanam Teri Kasam. She and Gilani have also acted together in the television dramas Sabaat and Neem.
The couple married in February 2025. Gilani is reportedly a Harvard Law School graduate who obtained an LLM in 2022.
