How to read these two views

A liquidation record describes an event that has already happened. A concentration map is an assumption-based research tool about hypothetical exposure. A bright band does not establish resting orders, a guaranteed price move or the amount that will be liquidated.

Model assumptions

Only positive changes in observed open interest create hypothetical new long and short cohorts, equally split across the chosen leverage tiers. The unknown positions already open at the start are excluded.

New cohorts enter at the completed candle close. Isolated linear contracts, 0.5% maintenance margin, no fees/funding/extra collateral are assumed. Actual exchange risk tiers and cross margin can differ.

When open interest falls, surviving cohorts shrink proportionally. Crossing a modeled threshold expires that hypothetical cohort; it does not prove a real liquidation happened. Missing price/OI data resets cohorts.

The view spans ±18% around the latest available close; out-of-view cohorts are omitted. The model uses all available 24-hour observations for warm-up and normalization. Time filters change only the visible interval. Scores are not calibrated for comparison across assets or leverage settings.

Isolated approximation: long P = entry × (1 − 1/leverage) / (1 − maintenance); short P = entry × (1 + 1/leverage) / (1 + maintenance).

Experimental model: predictive accuracy has not been validated. Use the exchange's own margin calculation for an actual position.
