UPS data center logistics could address an estimated $15 billion annual market as companies build artificial intelligence infrastructure. CEO Carol Tomé expects the buildout to generate revenue opportunities for decades, though the estimate is for the wider logistics opportunity, not a UPS revenue forecast.

UPS data center logistics opportunity

UPS could participate at several stages of the supply chain, including transporting chips, storing equipment, delivering components to operating facilities and coordinating ocean freight.

Data centers are one of three higher-value areas management is targeting, alongside healthcare and returns. The strategy emphasizes more lucrative shipments while the company cuts lower-margin work, including millions of Amazon deliveries.

UPS expects healthcare revenue to exceed $13 billion in 2026, compared with $6 billion in 2020. The 2026 figure is a company forecast, not a completed result.

Quarterly results and 2026 outlook

In its third-quarter earnings release, UPS reported consolidated revenue of $22.9 billion, up 6.7% from a year earlier. It raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook to approximately $92.6 billion and its adjusted operating profit outlook to about $8.75 billion.

The company also raised its full-year adjusted diluted earnings forecast to approximately $7.28 per share. Tomé cited stronger business performance in announcing the higher guidance on October 27, 2026.
