Key Takeaways
- Senior lenders, the stream purchaser and the hedge counterparty agreed to the additional waivers.
- Asante is evaluating funding alternatives; it did not announce that the new funding had been secured.
Asante Gold financing options remain under review
Asante announced the extension on October 30, 2026. The company said it was evaluating alternatives with its financing partners to secure and optimize the funding by the new deadline.
The company also said it continues to work with its lenders, stream purchaser and other financing partners on a longer-term financing solution. It did not disclose a completed funding transaction in the update.
What preceded the extension
In its September 30 financing update, Asante said it had agreed funding terms with Fujairah Holding LLC, but that the funding remained subject to Fujairah’s final internal approval and execution of the related agreements. At that time, the financing partners extended the funding deadline to October 31.
The October update did not say whether the alternatives under review included the previously described Fujairah funding. Asante operates the Bibiani and Chirano gold mines in Ghana and is advancing the Kubi gold project.
