Hadron underwriting leadership changes
The appointments, announced on October 30, 2026, add to the leadership of Hadron’s international underwriting operations. Walker has been the company’s UK director of underwriting since its inception.
Hadron provides insurance capacity and fronting services to managing general agents, which underwrite specialty coverage on insurers’ behalf. Its UK specialty insurance platform supplies capacity to MGAs and other partners operating under delegated authority arrangements.
Moffatt’s underwriting background
Moffatt has more than 25 years of underwriting experience across Lloyd’s and the London company market. Most recently, he was chief underwriting officer and director of underwriting at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group-UK.
At MSIG-UK, he helped build the UK platform and led a five-year underwriting strategy covering policy administration, exposure management and binder management. He previously spent more than a decade at Argo Global, where his roles included CUO and active underwriter for Syndicate 1200.
Colin Johnson said Moffatt had experience growing challenging portfolios in the Lloyd’s market. Group CUO Pete Buccola said Walker had helped build Hadron’s UK underwriting capability and overseen day-to-day underwriting across the platform.
