Slide Insurance has expanded into Texas and Rhode Island, adding homeowners coverage in Texas and dwelling insurance for eligible rental and seasonal properties in Rhode Island. The expansion, reported on October 26, 2026, follows broader product offerings in Florida, South Carolina and California.
Slide Insurance adds two distinct property products
The Texas launch introduces an HO3 homeowners insurance product, while Rhode Island receives a DP3 dwelling insurance product. The launches serve different property needs rather than extending an identical offering across both states.
The products broaden options for eligible property owners and give independent agents additional coverage solutions. Eligibility remains part of both offerings; the expansion does not mean every homeowner, rental property or seasonal home qualifies.
Geographic diversification and agent access
Bruce Lucas, Slide’s chairman and chief executive officer, described the entries as part of the company’s long-term diversified growth strategy. He characterized Texas as one of the largest U.S. homeowners insurance markets and Rhode Island as a foothold for further expansion across the Northeast.
The Northeast opportunity is a strategic ambition, not an announcement of additional state launches. The confirmed expansion covers Texas and Rhode Island.
Independent agents can access the new products through Violet, Slide’s quoting and policy management platform. Slide’s agent quoting and servicing tools are also described on its agent-information page, which lists Violet access for Florida and South Carolina.
