Canaan, MicroBT, Halo, Steelhead and additional angel investors also participated in the round. Luxor said it plans to hire more staff alongside scaling its agentic cloud platform and expanding its hardware and trading capabilities.

The company already serves Bitcoin miners including Canaan and TeraWulf. It has expanded its hardware business to source graphics processing units and AI servers for the AI computing market.

From Bitcoin mining to AI infrastructure

Luxor launched its Luxor AI business segment in September, extending hardware, software and compute trading services developed for Bitcoin miners into AI and high-performance computing.

CEO and co-founder Nick Hansen said the computing markets are converging, with miners, power sites and capital previously used for digital mining now also supporting AI.

Luxor previously raised $5 million in a June 2021 Series A round led by NYDIG to expand its North American Bitcoin mining services.
