Mankind Pharma shares rose nearly 8% to an intraday high of ₹2,500 on the National Stock Exchange on October 27, 2026, after the drugmaker reported a 37.7% increase in profit after tax for the September quarter.

Key Takeaways

  • Quarterly profit after tax rose to ₹716 crore from ₹520.2 crore a year earlier.
  • Revenue from operations increased 17.3% to ₹4,337.9 crore.
  • International revenue grew faster than domestic revenue, while consumer healthcare growth was softer.

Mankind Pharma shares rise after quarterly results

The intraday high followed Mankind Pharma’s results for the second quarter of fiscal 2027. The company reported growth in both its domestic and international businesses.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or EBITDA, rose to ₹1,175 crore from ₹924 crore in the same quarter a year earlier. The EBITDA margin increased by 210 basis points to 27.1%, while the profit-after-tax margin rose by 240 basis points to 16.5%.

Domestic medicines and exports drive growth

Domestic revenue increased 14.8% to ₹3,657 crore, while exports rose 32.7% to ₹681 crore. Within the domestic pharmaceutical business, excluding consumer healthcare, revenue grew 15.9%, with cardiac therapies up around 19% and anti-diabetes products up 16%.

Consumer healthcare growth was affected by slower industry offtake and regional weakness in eastern and southern India. Mankind said it nevertheless gained market share in its Manforce and Preganews brands.

The company launched one new product in the United States during the quarter, taking its total US product launches to 50. Vice Chairman and Managing Director Rajeev Juneja also described the recent acquisition of Armed Cell Therapeutics as a strategic entry into next-generation CAR-T therapies.
