Junior MasterChef Australia will feature Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, as a special guest and judge alongside host Poh Ling Yeow. The cooking competition is set to begin filming in Melbourne in 2027 and will air on Network 10.
Junior MasterChef Australia role
Meghan’s appearance is a guest role, rather than the co-hosting position described in earlier reports. The junior version of the show is returning after a six-year gap.
In a statement, Meghan said she readily agreed to work with the young contestants and looked forward to seeing what they create in the kitchen. She said she enjoys cooking with her own children.
A return to Australian television
Meghan appeared as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia in April 2026, mentoring contestants alongside Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli.
She is expected to spend a few weeks in Australia for the new project. She and her family have no plans to relocate there.
