A SoftBank investment vehicle sold 3.58 crore Ola Electric rights entitlements through October 26, 2026, as the electric two-wheeler maker sought to raise ₹1,000 crore through a rights issue.

Ola Electric rights sales

NSE bulk-deal data showed that SVF II Ostrich (DE) LLC sold 1.21 crore entitlements across October 22 and 23, then sold another 2.37 crore on October 26. Separately, Vanguard ESG International Stock sold 57.05 lakh entitlements on October 26.

The transactions involved rights entitlements rather than Ola Electric shares. As of September 2026, the SoftBank vehicle held 54.15 crore shares, representing an 11.70% stake. Founder Bhavish Aggarwal held 122.75 crore shares, or 26.52%.

Applications and earlier fundraising

Motilal Oswal Financial Services and Calliope Capital Advisors, an investment vehicle associated with Motilal Oswal, applied for a combined 2.39 crore shares when the issue opened on October 22.

A stock exchange filing said Ola Electric promoter-group entities ANI Technologies and Indus Trust transferred the entitlements used for those applications.

The rights issue follows a ₹780 crore qualified institutional placement in June 2026. Ola Electric had initially planned to raise ₹500 crore through that placement before increasing the amount.
