North Vector Dynamics closed a Series A funding round exceeding US$20 million, valuing the Canadian defence technology company at more than US$90 million. The Calgary-based company announced the financing on October 26, 2026.

Key Takeaways

  • Tech Horizons led the round, with participation from ONE9, Garage Capital and other investors.
  • The company plans to expand manufacturing and assembly and open offices in the United States and Europe.
  • Its initial commercial product is the CM-70 counter-drone missile interceptor.

How North Vector Dynamics plans to use the funding

The financing, which the company also described as C$29 million, will support manufacturing and assembly, greater vertical integration and supply-chain security. North Vector Dynamics also plans to hire staff and open new offices in the United States and Europe.

Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Paul Ziadé said the round gives the company capital and industrial reach to move from validation toward production volume and into allied markets. The company did not provide a timetable for those plans.

Investors and the CM-70 interceptor

European venture capital fund Tech Horizons, which also invested in the company’s seed round, led the Series A. Other participants included ONE9, Garage Capital, CSG, Ripple Ventures, Feld Ventures and Conconi Growth Partners.

North Vector Dynamics describes the CM-70 as a precision-guided missile interceptor designed to counter unmanned aerial systems. It says the system uses an open architecture intended to integrate with existing layered air defences.

The company said Defence Research and Development Canada, an agency of Canada’s Department of National Defence, provided early funding and continues to support testing. North Vector Dynamics was established in 2022.
