Prakriti Malla, a student from Nepal, drew international attention after photographs of her English handwriting circulated on social media, with some viewers saying it looked like printed text.
Why Prakriti Malla’s handwriting drew attention
The images began as an ordinary piece of schoolwork. Viewers noticed the consistent shape of the letters, the even spacing between words and the straight lines across the page.
Some social media users suggested that her handwriting could be turned into a computer font. The attention also associated her name with the phrase “world’s most beautiful handwriting.”

Malla received national recognition in Nepal in 2016, before her handwriting gained wider international attention on social media.
When her handwriting attracted widespread attention, she was 14 and in Grade 8 at Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya.
