Korean puppet show Cookies, Ann, Cream was staged in Manila on October 13 and 14, 2026, by the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines and Trunk Theatre Project.
Korean puppet show follows an Antarctic journey
The production uses puppets and object theater to tell the story of Ann, who searches for meteorites during Antarctica’s white nights. Her encounters with nonhuman beings and unexpected companions shape her journey.
Trunk Theatre Project is a Korean performing arts company that received the Porsche Frontier Award for Theatre at the 2024 Seoul Arts Awards.
Workshop accompanied the final performance
On October 14, the production’s director and writer, Cho Ye-eun, led a workshop where participants made puppets, practiced moving them and joined a simulated meteorite hunt in snow.
Korean Cultural Center Director Kim Myeongjin said the performances gave Filipino audiences an opportunity to experience a different form of Korean performing arts.
