ArriVent BioPharma reported on October 25, 2026, that its ARR-217 trial showed tumor responses in 13 of 29 previously treated colorectal cancer patients given a 6 mg/kg dose every three weeks. Seven responses were confirmed, while six were unconfirmed or awaiting confirmation.
Key Takeaways
- The 13 responses represented a 44.8% objective response rate in the 6 mg/kg colorectal cancer group.
- Across all doses, 37 of 123 patients experienced treatment-related adverse events of grade 3 or higher.
- ARR-217 has advanced into Phase 1b dose optimization, with further data expected in 2027.
ARR-217 trial response data
ArriVent presented the initial Phase 1 findings at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology Congress. The ongoing, open-label study is testing ARR-217 in patients with unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors, initially focusing on colorectal, pancreatic and other gastrointestinal cancers.
As of the August 5, 2026 data cutoff, 123 heavily pretreated patients had received doses ranging from 2 to 8 mg/kg, including 113 patients with colorectal cancer. In the 6 mg/kg colorectal cancer group, 27 of 29 patients had disease control, a measure that includes patients whose cancer did not progress as well as those whose tumors responded.
At doses of 4 mg/kg every three weeks and higher, 25 of 73 colorectal cancer patients had an objective response. Fifteen of those responses were confirmed, five were pending confirmation and five were unconfirmed.
Safety and development plans
Across all doses, 30.1% of patients experienced a treatment-related adverse event of grade 3 or higher, including neutropenia in 12.2% and diarrhea in 8.9%. At 6 mg/kg, 10 of 49 patients, or 20.4%, experienced an event of grade 3 or higher. ArriVent reported no grade 5 treatment-related adverse events or interstitial lung disease.
ARR-217 is an antibody-drug conjugate targeting CDH17 and is being developed with Lepu Biopharma. ArriVent holds exclusive development and commercialization rights outside Greater China.
Next milestone
ArriVent plans to discuss the data in a virtual webinar on October 26, 2026, at 8 a.m. ET. The company expects further dose optimization data in 2027.
