Navi Mumbai flights are set to increase from December 2026 as IndiGo and Air India Group begin moving selected services from Mumbai’s existing airport. The phased transfer is part of a plan to redevelop Terminal 1 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport by 2030.
IndiGo’s Navi Mumbai flights
IndiGo plans to transfer 12 daily international departures to Navi Mumbai International Airport. The existing services affected connect Mumbai with destinations in West Asia, as well as Dhaka and Jakarta.
The airline also plans a new daily Kathmandu service, bringing its Navi Mumbai international network to 12 destinations between February and July 2027. It will move the domestic operations needed to support connections with those international flights.
The transfer will free capacity at Mumbai’s existing airport for IndiGo’s planned new services to Asia, Africa and Europe in 2027.
Air India Express timetable
Air India Express plans to start four daily domestic flights from Navi Mumbai in December 2026. Planned Kuwait services and existing Oman services are to follow from January 2027.
The airline will gradually transfer services to Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Doha, Muscat and Sharjah, with the process expected to finish by the Northern Summer 2027 season. Air India Group said the transition followed discussions with the airport operator and was intended to preserve the historicity of its existing slots at Mumbai’s airport.
