SL Science earnings reflect wholesale growth
The Taiwan-headquartered company reported unaudited revenue of approximately $1.39 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026, up from $1.13 million in the same period a year earlier. Its net loss widened to approximately $2.16 million from $1.60 million.
SL Science’s first-half results attributed the revenue increase primarily to the expansion of its wholesale distribution model in Taiwan. The company said larger, more predictable business-to-business orders increased shipments, offsetting lower per-unit wholesale prices.
Gross margin improved to 40.2% from 34.5%. SL Science attributed the improvement mainly to lower purchase costs after establishing stable supplier relationships and securing more favorable terms.
Research spending and cash position
Research and development expenses rose to approximately $1.23 million from $0.72 million. The company said higher staff salaries and milestone payments tied to its CD-19 Armed-T and Gamma Delta T cell therapy programs were the main drivers.
Total operating expenses rose to approximately $2.72 million from $2.00 million. SL Science also cited higher management salaries and professional fees associated with its listing.
Cash and cash equivalents stood at approximately $8.31 million on June 30, compared with $1.26 million at December 31, 2025. The company said financing activities generated approximately $9.15 million in cash, while operations used approximately $2.09 million during the half.
Listing and therapy development
SL Science completed its business combination on June 12, 2026, and its shares began trading on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker SLBT on June 15. The listing was accompanied by $7.8 million in private investment in public equity financing.
The company said it had requested US orphan drug designation for its Gamma Delta T cell therapy targeting glioblastoma. It also holds exclusive global rights for Gamma Delta T cell applications in pancreatic and brain cancers for 20 years following product launch. The company cautioned that its preclinical data do not establish clinical safety or efficacy.
