Maruti Suzuki Dzire cumulative production has surpassed 3.5 million vehicles, the Indian automaker said on October 31, 2026. The sedan reached the milestone in about 18 years and nine months.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire joins production milestone
The Dzire is currently manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s Manesar facility. Alto, Swift and WagonR are the company’s other models to have crossed 3.5 million in cumulative production.
The figure counts vehicles produced over the model’s history, rather than sales in a single year. Maruti Suzuki launched the Dzire in 2008 and introduced its fourth generation in November 2024.
Safety rating and management outlook
The fourth-generation Dzire received a five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating in 2025, becoming the first sedan to earn that recognition under India’s new car assessment program.
Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said the company remained committed to quality and customers in India and global markets as manufacturing scale increases. He did not announce a specific production target or timeline.
