Ipsos revenue growth faces a currency headwind

Revenue for the first nine months reached €1,806.3 million, up 0.9% from €1,791.0 million a year earlier. Organic growth was 1.2%, separating the underlying business performance from currency movements and changes in the group’s consolidation scope.

Acquisitions and disposals contributed a net 1.6% to nine-month revenue growth. That reflected the acquisition of The BVA Family, partly offset by the deconsolidation of Russia from January 1, 2026. Currency effects reduced growth by 1.9%, primarily because of the euro’s appreciation against the US dollar.

The improvement in third-quarter organic growth therefore did not translate into a comparable increase in reported revenue. The order book’s organic growth, for revenue expected to be recognized in 2026, was also 2.0% in the quarter and 1.2% over the first nine months.

ItemDetails
EMEANine-month revenue: €897.3 million; Q3 organic growth: 3.5%.
AmericasNine-month revenue: €618.2 million; Q3 organic growth: -1.2%.
Asia-PacificNine-month revenue: €290.8 million; Q3 organic growth: 4.3%.

Full-year outlook keeps margin objective unchanged

Ipsos said its revised organic growth range of 1.2%–1.5% reflected nine-month performance and the order book at the end of September. The range compares with organic growth of 0.6% in 2025.

Management also cited persistent macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty, including the effect of the Middle East conflict on regional activity. It retained its objective of an operating margin rate in line with 2025 while continuing investments in the Horizons strategic plan.

Regional recovery remains uneven

Asia-Pacific benefited from continued growth in China, supported by local and international clients and new AI-enabled offerings. India also contributed to the region’s acceleration. In EMEA, growth across Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, and Africa contrasted with declining activity in the Middle East.

The Americas remained below management’s expectations. Ipsos attributed that performance mainly to delays in executing Horizons during the first half of 2026.

By audience, Citizens was the fastest-growing business in the quarter, with organic growth of 8.6%, supported by contract wins secured since March. Doctors & Patients grew 5.7%, Consumers increased 0.7%, and Clients & Employees declined 2.5%. The mix shows that the recovery was not yet broad-based across all customer groups.

New leadership accelerates digital deployment

Kelly Beaver, appointed chief executive on July 30, reaffirmed Horizons and prioritized faster execution. Ipsos said it had strengthened programme leadership, entered a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to deploy agentic AI, and launched an initiative to increase internal use of Ipsos.Digital.

The company’s automated DIY research platform covers the process from commissioning to delivery, with results available within hours. That functionality helps explain its role in Ipsos’s effort to shorten research turnaround times.

Ipsos separately reported 14% organic growth for Ipsos.Digital. Under its Speed programme, the company aims to deliver the majority of research projects in less than 48 hours and intends to accelerate use of the platform across the group.

Conclusion

The next test for Ipsos revenue is the final quarter of 2026: whether the September order book and faster Horizons execution support the revised full-year growth range while preserving the operating margin objective.
