Hatchet Lake drilling returned an interval grading 1.3% uranium oxide over 1.0 metre, Foremost Clean Energy said on October 27, 2026. The result came from the Tuning Fork zone at the company’s uranium project in northern Saskatchewan.
Key Takeaways
- The highest-grade interval included 4.5% U₃O₈ over 0.25 metres.
- Foremost plans to prioritize follow-up targets south of the drilled area.
Hatchet Lake drilling results
The high-grade result came from hole TF-26-30, at a depth of 139.9 to 140.9 metres. It sat within a broader interval grading 0.36% U₃O₈ over 4.0 metres.
Foremost’s 2026 program comprised 19 diamond drill holes totaling 3,848 metres. The company said eight holes intersected uranium mineralization across four drill fences along a tested strike length of 200 metres. The results establish mineralization at multiple locations along the trend, rather than a continuous interval across that distance.
The reported intervals were generally composited using a 0.05% U₃O₈ cutoff, with lower cutoffs for two holes. Radiometric equivalent results were used for parts of three intervals, including the broader TF-26-30 interval, because of core loss.
Further targets to the north and south
Foremost said the mineralized trend remains open in both directions. Approximately 250 metres of prospective strike to the north is inadequately tested, while about 600 metres of prospective conductive strike extends south of the current mineralized footprint.
On the northernmost drill fence, hole TF-26-36 returned 0.19% U₃O₈ over 2.8 metres. The company expects follow-up drilling to test extensions in both directions, with particular emphasis on southern targets. It did not announce a drilling date.
