Agile Robots and NVIDIA launched the Agile ONE SN research humanoid on October 21, 2026, with availability planned for early 2027. Agile Robots also announced a separate humanoid logistics project with Audi and partners at the automaker’s Ingolstadt plant.

Key Takeaways

  • The research humanoid is designed to let developers transfer skills to the full-size industrial Agile ONE.
  • The Audi project tests a parts-sequencing workcell in a virtual twin before its use in the production lab.
  • NVIDIA announced plans to invest in Agile Robots two days before the humanoid launch.

Agile ONE SN targets research labs

The humanoid is 1.4 metres tall, weighs 43 kilograms and has two five-finger tactile hands. It has 71 degrees of freedom in total.

Built on NVIDIA’s Isaac GR00T development platform, it runs on NVIDIA Jetson Thor and is set to ship with the GR00T 1.7 open vision-language-action model. Skills developed on the research platform can transfer to the full-size industrial Agile ONE.

Early 2027 is the planned availability date, rather than a confirmed shipping date.

Audi project focuses on assembly logistics

Agile Robots, Audi, Dassault Systèmes and NVIDIA announced a joint project at Audi’s Ingolstadt plant. In the Audi Production Lab, mobile humanoids pick parts from containers and sequence them for final assembly.

The companies said the underlying task is performed around one million times a day. The workcell is first tested in a DELMIA virtual twin accelerated by NVIDIA Omniverse libraries.

New robot arms share a control interface

Agile Robots also released its Diana 7 and Diana 3 robotic arms. Both support the Franka Control Interface, allowing Franka Research 3 code to move directly to the Diana models.

Diana 7 offers a 7-kilogram payload and 923-millimetre reach. Diana 3 is aimed at entry-level research and retains seven degrees of freedom, joint torque sensing and compliant control.
