Electrolux Professional earnings and cash flow

Net sales for July through September rose from SEK 2,816 million a year earlier to SEK 2,947 million. EBITA was SEK 372 million, up from SEK 92 million; the prior-year quarter included SEK 235 million in items affecting comparability.

In its third-quarter interim report, the company said higher sales, efficiency savings and a SEK 26 million US tariff refund supported the margin. Excluding the refund, the EBITA margin was 11.8%, compared with 11.6% a year earlier excluding items affecting comparability.

Operating cash flow after investments was SEK 407 million, compared with SEK 402 million a year earlier.

Laundry grows as Americas food and beverage lags

Laundry sales grew 5.2% organically, driven by the US and the APAC-MEA region. Food and beverage sales increased 2.2% organically overall, with growth in Europe and APAC-MEA offsetting a decline in the Americas.

On the earnings call, CEO Paolo Schira said weakness in Americas food and beverage was concentrated among chains and related to rollouts. He said the company’s new laundry products were unlikely to have a very material sales impact in 2026, with results expected to come through in 2027.

Costs and restructuring remain in focus

CFO Fabio Zarpellon reiterated a full-year efficiency savings target of around SEK 85 million, with roughly SEK 65 million achieved in the first nine months. He said direct-material costs would begin to weigh on the cost base in the fourth quarter and that the company had introduced surcharges and anticipated price increases to compensate for material and transportation costs.

Zarpellon also expected inventory to decline by the end of the fourth quarter. About SEK 50 million to SEK 60 million in restructuring cash outflows remained, he said, with most expected in the fourth quarter and a smaller amount in early 2027.
