XCMG education programs for students from Uzbekistan and Indonesia have opened in Xuzhou, China, as the construction machinery company develops talent for its overseas operations. The company said on October 27, 2026, that the initiatives had reached nearly 60 students across three cohorts.

How the XCMG education programs work

The Uzbekistan program opened on October 13 at Xuzhou University of Technology, where an XCMG construction machinery training base was also unveiled. XCMG developed the program with the university and Urgench State University.

Under a phased 2+1+1 undergraduate model, Urgench State University selects students and provides their initial education. Xuzhou University of Technology handles academic and language instruction, while XCMG’s Global Learning and Education Center works with its Uzbekistan operations on industry courses and internships.

The Indonesian program recently opened at Xuzhou College of Industrial Technology. Its 1.5+0.5+1 model combines language learning and technical skills with workplace experience in overseas operations.

Training supports overseas operations

XCMG said the programs are intended to help meet local staffing needs. It did not provide enrollment details or dates for future cohorts.

The company has operated in Indonesia for more than 30 years and said local employees account for nearly 80% of its workforce there. In 2026, it commissioned a new-energy manufacturing base in the country and began construction of a remanufacturing center.
