Wenge AI launched its ScienceOra AI research and decision-support platform on Tencent WorkBuddy on October 27, 2026, making more than 30 specialist research agents and skills available through the app.

Key Takeaways

  • Users can find ScienceOra in WorkBuddy’s app discovery section.
  • The initial tools cover literature analysis, study design, modeling, validation and research communication.
  • Specialist applications include rice breeding, materials science and drug development.

How ScienceOra AI is available

The initial WorkBuddy offering is organized around three levels of research support: getting started, advanced research and expert decision-making. Wenge AI says the tools are intended for researchers, university faculty and students, and other learners.

ScienceOra is powered by the ScienceOne Scientific Foundation Model, developed as part of an initiative coordinated by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

From literature reviews to specialist research

For early-stage research, the platform offers literature search, comparison and close-reading tools. Wenge AI says these can help users examine studies’ evidence and limitations and identify research gaps.

For more advanced work, the offering supports tasks such as systematic reviews, meta-analyses, molecular biology analysis and drug developability assessment. It also includes manuscript editing, journal formatting and slide-deck generation.

Tools for scientific decisions

The specialist agents include Yuandao Siyuan, a rice-breeding application that can search variety approval records and germplasm resources and trace pedigrees and research literature. It is built on a platform jointly developed by the Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Automation and Wenge AI.

Other tools support materials characterization and simulation, as well as research evaluation through a reviewer agent and peer-review simulation skills. Wenge AI describes these as decision-support capabilities; it does not report independent performance results for the launch.
