The SBI cybersecurity centre, named CyRIS, has been inaugurated to strengthen the bank’s capabilities in digital safety. Its remit includes cyber defence, fraud analytics and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence security.
SBI cybersecurity centre’s areas of focus
CyRIS is a cybersecurity centre of excellence covering threat intelligence, digital forensics, malware analysis and ethical hacking. It will also focus on quantum-safe technologies.
The centre’s scope combines established cyber-defence activities with newer areas of digital security, including AI security.
Collaboration across sectors
CyRIS will also foster collaboration with government and regulatory bodies, financial institutions, fintechs, academia and technology partners.
