The UP BJP voter drive is focusing on adding eligible voters and identifying electoral roll discrepancies as the party prepares for the next Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
UP BJP voter drive targets registration
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a virtual meeting on October 24, 2026, with senior state BJP leaders and members of the party’s state working committees. District and local leaders were asked to help new voters register, check for discrepancies and counter misinformation about the voter list.
The work is taking place during the ongoing special summary revision of electoral rolls. The party’s registration effort is separate from the official revision process.
Call centres connect with party workers
BJP general secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Vinod Tawde has established call centres in Lucknow with an initial 200 callers. State BJP general secretary Sanjay Rai manages the operation.
Callers are contacting grassroots party workers with information about programmes and senior leaders’ visits. Plans envisage deploying more callers by November 15, with the number potentially reaching 1,000 by December as centres are established elsewhere in the state.
