The AKC Agility League Championship will take place November 6–8, 2026, in Raleigh, North Carolina, with nearly 500 dogs expected to compete, the American Kennel Club said.
AKC Agility League entries rise
More than 100 teams from across the country are entered in the championship at the James Hunt Horse Complex. Entries closed on October 15 and were 15% higher than last year, the AKC said.
Penny Leigh, director of the league, said the event has more participants than in any previous year. Teams from Alaska, Wisconsin and Massachusetts are among those competing.
Competition levels and public attendance
The championship is open to the public and will feature five league levels, from Elementary, or pre-Novice, through PhD, or ISC. Top teams and individual dogs will be named in each division.
Three days of AKC Fetch Tests will be held alongside the championship. The tests are open to all eligible dogs and will cover levels from Novice through Retriever, with opportunities to earn multiple Fetch titles.
