Chronus launched Rumi Coach on October 26, 2026, entering the AI coaching market with a tool that lets employees rehearse workplace conversations by voice or text. The product is available on its own or alongside the company’s mentoring software.

Key Takeaways

  • The initial Roleplays feature offers 30 ready-to-use scenarios and supports scenarios created by organizations.
  • Chronus says individual results are private unless employees choose to share them, while administrators receive aggregate insights.

How Rumi Coach works

Rumi Coach is part of the Rumi by Chronus platform, which combines AI coaching with human-led mentoring. Its initial feature, Roleplays, lets employees practice situations such as giving difficult feedback or responding to a stakeholder request.

After each attempt, employees receive a readiness level and feedback. Organizations can edit the supplied scenarios, add their own and decide which employees can access them.

The coach can use organizational information that a customer chooses to share, including roles, skills, goals and career paths. Rumi Mentor, the company’s mentoring offering, uses AI-powered matching and guided conversations.

Availability and privacy limits

Chronus says organizations can use Rumi Coach or Rumi Mentor separately and add the other later. Rumi Coach is available now, but the announcement did not disclose pricing.

According to Chronus, administrators choose which profile information the AI can use and see aggregate reporting rather than individual transcripts or readiness levels. The company says no audio is stored, customer data is not used to train AI, and results are shared only if the employee chooses to do so.
