A Mumbai court on October 26, 2026, extended police custody until October 28 for four people accused of helping the shooters in the Tiger Shroff firing case. The four are among 11 people arrested in connection with the attack on the actor’s car.

Why police sought more custody

Police told the court that Kunal, 21, Sumit, 19, Radha, 23, and Babita, 23, knew about the alleged conspiracy and needed to be confronted with previously arrested co-accused. Investigators also said they needed to verify photos and videos recovered from the suspects’ phones, including images of weapons used in the crime.

Police said the suspects had communicated on the Signal app and that voice samples from two accused had yet to be collected.

Defence lawyer Ajinkya Migral argued that the confrontation could take place in jail with the court’s permission and asked that the four be sent to judicial custody. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate S Khedkar extended their police custody after hearing both sides.

What happened in the Tiger Shroff firing

Police allege that the four travelled to Amritsar to obtain weapons and that the two women transported firearms by train to Mumbai, where they handed them to the attackers.

At least two men fired five to six rounds at Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on October 18 before fleeing on a motorcycle, police said. The actor escaped relatively unhurt, while his driver and a bystander were injured. Police registered a case for attempted murder and other offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.
