Anil Kapoor recalls a shared dream
The contestant, Gagan, told Kapoor that people frequently said he looked like Kaushik. Kapoor said the resemblance brought back memories of a friend whose talent and humor he admired.
Kapoor recalled that he and Kaushik both liked the film Twins and had imagined playing twin brothers on screen, though the opportunity never arose. He said Kaushik knew him exceptionally well, including his anger and happiness.
Remembering a Mr India role
The conversation turned lighter when Kapoor and Gagan recalled a line associated with Calendar, the cook Kaushik played in the 1987 film Mr India. The film starred Kapoor and Sridevi.
Kaushik worked in Hindi cinema for more than four decades as an actor, director and screenwriter. He died on March 9, 2023, at age 66.
