Ghulam Nabi Azad has rejected Kashmir remarks by National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah, disputing Abdullah’s assessment of Pakistan’s role and the prospects of help from Delhi.

Azad challenges Kashmir remarks

Abdullah had said Pakistan had kept the Kashmir issue alive and that there was no hope from Delhi. Azad, leader of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party, publicly disagreed.

He also blamed Pakistan for decades of terrorism and instability in the region, alleging that it had been a source of violence and unrest since 1947 and had repeatedly sought to spread terrorism and seize parts of the region.
