Flipkart delivery agent found with goods in Bhavnagar
The Bhavnagar Local Crime Branch identified the 26-year-old accused as Rutvik Makwana, also known as Koli. Police said they received information that a man was selling phones and other products without bills on a public road near Gangajaliya Lake.
Officers found Makwana with the goods and seized them as suspected stolen property after he could not produce documents establishing ownership, police said.
Parcels allegedly taken from delivery bags
Police said Makwana worked as a delivery agent in Surat district and allegedly took parcels from delivery bags rather than delivering them or returning them to the company. He allegedly told police the parcels had been stolen around 15 days before his arrest.
The recovered items also included Bluetooth devices, watches, clothing, perfumes and personal care products. A case has been registered at Saroli police station in Surat under Section 306 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Makwana was handed over to Gangajaliya police station, and the investigation continues.
