L&T earnings rose in the September 2026 quarter, with net profit increasing 33% from a year earlier as the infrastructure company secured more orders. Revenue grew 16% to ₹78,750 crore.

L&T earnings and order inflows

Larsen & Toubro reported on October 27 that quarterly order inflows rose 28% year on year to ₹1,47,665 crore. International orders accounted for ₹92,375 crore, or 63% of the total.

The company said accelerated progress across its projects, products and manufacturing businesses supported revenue growth. Its order book reached a record ₹8.5 lakh crore, which Chairman and Managing Director S.N. Subrahmanyan said provides multi-year revenue visibility.

High-value orders came from businesses including offshore and onshore hydrocarbon, CarbonLite Solutions, public spaces and airports, and power transmission and distribution. L&T’s energy portfolio includes offshore oil and gas facilities as well as onshore projects such as refineries and pipelines.

Costs weigh on margins

Execution challenges, rising input costs and elevated logistics expenses weighed on September-quarter margins in the infrastructure and utilities businesses. That segment secured ₹35,509 crore in orders during the quarter.

L&T shares closed at ₹3,670 on the BSE on October 27, down 0.19%, before the earnings announcement.
