AI revenue run rate grows
CCC said its AI-related revenue reached an annualized run rate of approximately $130 million in the third quarter, up 40% year over year and from approximately $120 million in the second quarter. An annualized run rate is a measure of the revenue pace, not revenue earned during the quarter.
The company also said a top-five insurer, ranked by 2025 direct premium written, adopted its Medhub for Auto Casualty product during the quarter. The product uses AI to extract information from medical records for claims professionals.
Acquisition and guidance
Under the GTCR and Elliott acquisition agreement announced on October 15, CCC shareholders would receive $7.75 in cash per share. The transaction has an enterprise value of approximately $6.1 billion.
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals and other customary conditions. CCC would become privately held after completion.
Because of the proposed transaction, CCC said it was suspending its practice of providing guidance and would not hold a conference call or webcast on the results.
