HTX crypto promotions to UK consumers are subject to a High Court undertaking after the exchange settled an enforcement case brought by the Financial Conduct Authority. The regulator said on October 29, 2026, that HTX is no longer active in the UK.

HTX crypto promotions and the court undertaking

Under the FCA settlement announcement, Huobi Global S.A., the company behind the exchange formerly known as Huobi, undertook not to knowingly communicate unlawful financial promotions. The undertaking covers the HTX website, apps and social media platforms and runs until October 21, 2031.

The FCA began proceedings in October 2025 and announced the action in February 2026. The settlement was dated October 16 and recorded in a court order on October 27. Its terms are confidential, and Huobi Global did not admit liability or wrongdoing.

What changes for UK users

The FCA said UK customers can no longer make deposits and new UK users cannot sign up. HTX will not target, solicit or actively seek to engage consumers in the country.

Existing UK users should consult information on HTX’s website about service availability and arrangements for withdrawing any remaining assets, the regulator said.
