Norwegian earnings exceeded the cruise operator’s guidance for the third quarter of 2026, and the company raised its full-year outlook. Shares of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings rose 13% on October 29 following the results.

Norwegian earnings and 2026 outlook

Revenue for the quarter ended September 30 was $2.95 billion, above the $2.88 billion expected by analysts surveyed by LSEG. Net income was $491 million, or $1.07 per share.

In its third-quarter results and outlook, Norwegian reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.12, exceeding its previous guidance of 90 cents and the LSEG analyst estimate of 94 cents. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or EBITDA, were $937 million, above the company’s $874 million guidance.

Citing the stronger-than-expected quarter, Norwegian raised its full-year forecast to approximately $2.55 billion in adjusted EBITDA and $1.70 in adjusted earnings per share. Those figures are guidance, not completed annual results.

Bookings and finance leadership

Norwegian said its booked position for the next 12 months had improved modestly since its previous earnings release but remained below its optimal range. It expects a new marketing platform and the recently opened waterpark at its Great Stirrup Cay private island to support demand over time.

Chief Financial Officer Mark Kempa will step down after more than 25 years at the company. Chief Strategy Officer Meghan Montana will take over the role on January 1, 2027.
