Crypto stocks fell on October 30, 2026, with Coinbase shares down more than 13% in trading after the exchange reported a drop in third-quarter revenue. The declines followed Binance’s disclosure of a breach in which it said hackers stole about $6.3 billion.

Crypto stocks decline across the sector

Circle Internet Group fell more than 9%, while Bitcoin treasury company Strategy declined about 8%. Bitcoin miner and data center operator IREN was down more than 10%, and Figure Technology Solutions fell about 9%. The figures were trading snapshots, not closing prices.

Binance confirmed the theft on Friday, a day after disclosing the breach. The timing of the stock declines does not establish how much of the move was caused by the hack.

Coinbase and Strategy report lower revenue

Coinbase’s third-quarter earnings release showed net income of $719 million and adjusted net income of $78 million. The latter excludes investment gains and other adjustments. The company recorded about $715 million in gains on cryptocurrency investments, while net revenue fell about 34% year over year to $1.16 billion.

Strategy reported $19.53 billion in third-quarter net income, largely driven by a $20.91 billion gain in the value of its Bitcoin holdings. Revenue fell 3% year over year to $125.4 million. The company also said Chief Financial Officer Andrew Kang will step down on November 5.
