Wereldhave completed the Eggert Center sale on October 30, 2026, selling the Dutch shopping center to French real estate investment fund Transitions Europe for €62.8 million, excluding transfer tax. Wereldhave will continue to manage the property.

Key Takeaways

  • The sale price was around the center’s latest book value and reflected a net initial yield of approximately 7%.
  • Wereldhave maintained its 2026 direct result guidance of €1.85–€1.95 per share.

Eggert Center sale retains management role

Transitions Europe is managed by Arkéa REIM. Following the transaction, Wereldhave will remain responsible for asset management, property management and leasing at the center in Purmerend.

Wereldhave said the deal is part of its capital rotation program and expands its third-party management platform, allowing it to use its Dutch management expertise with less capital committed.

Property and balance-sheet impact

The Eggert Center property profile lists 55 shops, approximately 20,700 square meters of lettable area and 4.4 million visitors a year. Wereldhave acquired the center in 2010 and subsequently redeveloped it.

Wereldhave said proceeds from the sale, combined with those from the sale of retail park De Mael in Bruges, will reduce its net loan-to-value ratio by approximately 250 basis points compared with June 30, 2026. The company is pursuing acquisition opportunities in Belgium.
