The Adani IntelliSmart acquisition received approval from the Competition Commission of India on October 30, 2026, clearing a regulatory step in Adani Energy Solutions’ proposed purchase of the smart-meter company.

Adani IntelliSmart acquisition terms

Adani Energy Solutions has approval to acquire 100% of IntelliSmart Infrastructure from the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund and state-run Energy Efficiency Services Limited.

The competition clearance for the acquisition covers IntelliSmart’s equity share capital. The approval does not itself establish that the transaction has closed.

Smart-meter rollout

IntelliSmart is involved in the rollout of smart prepaid meters under India’s power distribution reforms. If completed, the purchase would give Adani full ownership of the company and expand its presence in digital grid modernization.
