Kaveri Seed earnings improved in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, as the company’s net loss narrowed to ₹3.21 crore from ₹15.05 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations rose 29.84% to ₹125.44 crore.

Kaveri Seed earnings and seasonal demand

Quarterly revenue rose from ₹96.61 crore a year earlier. July to September is typically a lean period for seed companies because most kharif seed is sold before June.

For the half-year, standalone net profit fell 11.1% to ₹268.09 crore from ₹301.45 crore. Standalone revenue from operations declined 9.7% to ₹940.44 crore from ₹1,041.91 crore.

Executive Director Mithun Chand said El Niño and the delayed onset of the monsoon weighed on sowing, particularly maize, and demand for premium products in the first half. He said the second quarter recovered some ground lost in the first quarter, with EBITDA turning positive.

The company’s investor announcements index lists a Q2 fiscal 2026–27 unaudited-results press release.
