Bajaj Auto earnings rose 35% in the July–September 2026 quarter, with standalone profit after tax reaching ₹3,354 crore, up from ₹2,480 crore a year earlier. The company reported revenue growth in both its domestic business and exports.
Key Takeaways
- Standalone revenue from operations increased 34% to ₹20,003 crore.
- The electric portfolio reached about 200,000 units and accounted for one-third of domestic revenue.
- The EBITDA margin rose to 20.9% from 20.5% a year earlier.
Bajaj Auto earnings and margins improve
The results, announced on October 27, cover the second quarter of Bajaj Auto’s 2027 fiscal year. Standalone revenue from operations rose from ₹14,922 crore in the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2026.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization, or EBITDA, climbed 37% to ₹4,172 crore from ₹3,052 crore. The EBITDA margin widened by 40 basis points, meaning more revenue remained after the costs included in that measure.
Bajaj Auto said currency benefits, operating leverage and cost control helped offset input inflation that was only partly recovered through pricing.
Electric vehicles and exports drive growth
Domestic revenue grew 30% year over year to a quarterly record, supported by two- and three-wheelers. The electric portfolio led the growth, reaching approximately 200,000 units, compared with 82,000 a year earlier, despite constrained supply, the company said.
Exports grew more than 40% year over year despite intermittent logistical disruptions. Bajaj Auto said Africa nearly doubled its billing from the year-earlier quarter, while Latin America recorded its best-ever sales.
