High Lake drilling has reached three completed holes at the Purdex Zone in northwestern Ontario, Total Metals said on October 29, 2026. The company expects initial assay results in November as it continues the exploration program.

Key Takeaways

  • Reverse circulation drilling is continuing at the Ontario gold project.
  • The new holes target a zone with an existing mineral resource estimate.
  • Total Metals plans to expand the drill program into 2027.

High Lake drilling targets

The three completed holes are the first of the campaign into Purdex, Executive Chairman Michael Dehn said. Total Metals plans to test extensions of the deposit and other priority targets.

In its September assessment of High Lake targets, the company said an airborne magnetic survey had identified structural trends coinciding with gold occurrences, including Purdex. It identified targets both within known occurrences and in unexplored areas along those trends.

ItemDetails
Indicated resource152,000 tonnes at 9.38 g/t gold, containing an estimated 45,800 ounces
Inferred resource287,000 tonnes at 10.43 g/t gold, containing an estimated 96,200 ounces

Existing Purdex resource

The Purdex mineral resource estimate has an effective date of April 14, 2023, and uses a gold grade cut-off of 2.6 grams per tonne. Inferred resources have a lower confidence level than indicated resources; neither category is a mineral reserve with demonstrated economic viability.

Earlier drilling by McFarlane Lake Mining included an intersection in hole MLHL-22-06 grading 24.96 grams per tonne of gold over 14.90 metres. That is a historical result, not an assay from the newly completed holes.

Next milestone

The next milestone is the initial assay results Total Metals expects in November 2026.
