Talos research has a new leader: Kelly Ye will head the digital-asset technology company’s analysis for institutional clients, the firm announced on October 28, 2026.

What Talos research will cover

Based in New York, Ye will direct Talos’s research program for clients including asset managers, hedge funds, banks and brokers. Her remit includes market structure, liquidity, emerging opportunities and developments in onchain finance.

The existing program publishes a weekly onchain-finance newsletter, a market dashboard, weekly commentary, special reports and periodic market reports. The appointment gives that work a dedicated leader; Talos did not announce a new research product alongside the hire.

Experience across finance and digital assets

Ye has nearly two decades of experience, including 14 years in traditional finance. She previously held investment leadership roles at Avenir Group and Decentral Park Capital, as well as research and product leadership roles at Fidelity Digital Asset Management and CoinDesk Indices. Most recently, she was building Coinbridge, which focuses on financing tokenized real-world assets.

The hire follows Talos’s 2025 acquisition of Coin Metrics, which added market and network data, indexes and onchain analytics to its trading and portfolio management systems. CEO and co-founder Anton Katz said the acquisition made data central to the platform.
