Jio IPO fees totaled ₹196 crore for 19 investment banks, equivalent to 0.65% of the ₹30,213 crore offering. The fee rate was lower than those paid on several other major Indian IPOs, even though Jio Platforms’ issue was the country’s largest.
Jio IPO fees compared with other offerings
Hyundai Motor India paid bankers ₹493 crore, or 1.77% of its ₹27,859 crore IPO. The National Stock Exchange of India paid ₹186 crore, or 0.83% of its ₹22,563 crore offering. Jio’s fee pool was therefore larger than the exchange’s in rupee terms, despite being smaller as a share of the issue.
One 97 Communications paid ₹324 crore, equivalent to 1.77% of its ₹18,300 crore issue, while Tata Capital paid ₹159 crore, or 1.03% of its ₹15,512 crore offering.
Strong demand ahead of listing
The Mukesh Ambani-backed company’s IPO was fully subscribed within 100 minutes of opening and received more than 22 times the shares offered by the close. Its shares were scheduled to list on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Large IPOs often carry lower fees as a percentage of the issue because investment banks compete intensely for mandates. The deals can still help banks build credentials and improve their league-table rankings.
