HUTCHMED will host an investor webcast on November 5, 2026, to discuss recent savolitinib data from Phase III studies in MET-driven non-small cell lung cancer. The company is co-hosting the event with Citigroup Global Markets Asia.
Key Takeaways
- The webcast will feature SANOVO principal investigator Professor Yi-Long Wu and HUTCHMED Chief Scientific Officer Weiguo Su.
- The discussion will cover the China-based SANOVO study and the global SAFFRON trial.
Savolitinib data and the studies
The event will discuss clinical data presented at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026, along with treatment strategies and the drug’s development and global regulatory outlook.
SANOVO studied savolitinib combined with TAGRISSO against TAGRISSO alone in 326 previously untreated patients in China with locally advanced or metastatic lung cancer, activating EGFR mutations and MET overexpression.
SAFFRON studied the combination against doublet platinum-based chemotherapy in 338 patients whose disease had progressed following treatment with TAGRISSO. HUTCHMED said the global trial reported positive high-level results in August 2026, including statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvements in progression-free survival and overall survival.
Webcast speakers and drug status
Wu will lead the discussion. Su, who is also HUTCHMED’s chief executive officer and is presently on leave of absence from that role, will join the panel. Citigroup Asia healthcare research analyst Yingqi Peng will moderate.
The webcast is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Hong Kong time, 8:30 a.m. GMT and 3:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. It will be conducted in Mandarin with simultaneous English interpretation.
Savolitinib is jointly developed by HUTCHMED and AstraZeneca and commercialized by AstraZeneca. It is marketed in China as ORPATHYS for certain patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer with a MET exon 14 skipping alteration. Other approvals include a conditional approval in China for certain gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer patients and approvals for use with TAGRISSO in specified lung cancer settings in China and Switzerland.
