Coway’s Airmega Mighty2 air purifier has been named to TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026 in the household category, the South Korean company announced on October 26. The product is already available in North America, with launches in Europe and Australia planned for the first quarter of 2027.
Key Takeaways
- The purifier combines three-stage filtration with a laser sensor that monitors three sizes of airborne particles.
- Coway says the model consumes 56 watts and can operate as quietly as 19 decibels.
- European and Australian availability is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
Airmega Mighty2 features and design
The Airmega Mighty2, model AP-1512N, is the successor to Coway’s Airmega Mighty AP-1512HH. It is designed for medium to large spaces and uses a HEPA filter and an activated carbon filter as part of its three-stage filtration system.
A laser sensor detects PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 particles, displaying numerical air-quality readings and a four-color indicator. Coway says the purifier uses 20% less energy, although its announcement did not specify the comparison baseline.
The company also said the model received Red Dot, iF and IDEA design awards in 2026.
Availability beyond North America
Coway sells the purifier in North America and plans to make it available in Europe and Australia in the first quarter of 2027. The company did not provide a specific launch date or pricing for those regions.
