EBC Financial Group launched the EBC Group Foundation on October 26, 2026, creating a Singapore-registered organization to coordinate its charitable work. Funded entirely by EBC, the foundation aims to help at least 6,000 people by the end of 2027.
Key Takeaways
- EBC expects around 80% of the foundation’s resources to go to orphan care.
- Charities and community groups can propose projects, which will be assessed case by case.
- The foundation’s reach and project goals are targets, not guarantees.
How the EBC Group Foundation will work
The foundation brings together charitable efforts that EBC says have covered more than 100 projects in dozens of countries over five years. Previously, much of that work depended on initiatives by individual teams.
EBC says every supported project must meet a common test: whether money and materials reach the people who need them. Delivery partners must be locally registered nongovernmental organizations or charities that have passed EBC’s due diligence checks. Beneficiaries will be selected through a documented process focused on lasting impact.
The planned orphan care allocation covers education, essential living supplies, counseling, career guidance and financial literacy for children who have lost both parents or whose parents cannot provide care. Remaining resources will support needs identified by regional teams, including education and community projects.
Targets and participation plans
By the end of 2027, EBC aims for the foundation to reach at least five regions, support at least 300 children through orphan care projects and complete an orphan care project in every region it reaches. The target of helping at least 6,000 people covers all of its work.
Regional teams plan to launch projects in four regions by the end of 2026. EBC says it will review progress quarterly. From 2028, subject to review, the company may open ways for clients and partners to participate; it has not yet announced details.
Earlier community work
EBC’s previous initiatives include a contribution to Tainan’s official relief fund after Typhoon Danas struck southern Taiwan in July 2025. Its teams also provided school supplies to vulnerable children in Mongolia in September 2026.
The company has partnered with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts since March 2024 and has supported the United Nations Foundation’s United to Beat Malaria campaign since April 2024.
Next milestone
EBC plans to issue a wider progress report in the first quarter of 2027.
