The Aurora ecozone authority is conducting a two-week investment mission to the United States and Canada, seeking interest in defense-related industries, clean energy and data centers.
Aurora ecozone mission targets energy and defense
Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority President and CEO Gil Taway IV is leading the delegation to promote the 12,923-hectare zone in Casiguran, Aurora, in the Philippines. The program includes investment briefings, site visits and government-to-business meetings.
The US leg runs from October 24 to 30, 2026, covering Texas, Maryland and Washington, D.C. The Canadian leg follows from November 2 to 6, with visits to Montreal, Ottawa and Calgary.
Agreements and business meetings on the agenda
The authority said it hopes to sign agreements covering financing and installation of a liquefied natural gas-fired power facility and defense-related economic activities in the zone. It also plans to follow up on initial discussions with US defense company Anglicotech LLC and consulting firm Valent.
In Canada, the delegation wants to engage about 100 executives across industries including infrastructure, energy, defense, manufacturing and logistics. The authority is promoting the zone’s Pacific-facing location, maritime access and expanded incentives under the Create More Act.
