Tata Electronics exports across three group entities reached ₹99,128 crore in fiscal 2026, as the Indian iPhone manufacturer expanded its role in Apple’s supply chain. The growth in exports came alongside a wider consolidated net loss for Tata Electronics.

Key Takeaways

  • The three entities reported exports of ₹76,953 crore in FY25, although the periods are not strictly comparable.
  • Taiwan, the United States and Ireland were the largest reported destinations.
  • Tata Electronics’ consolidated net loss widened to ₹1,611 crore in FY26 from ₹69 crore a year earlier.

Tata Electronics exports and the reporting-period caveat

Exports rose more than 29% from the reported FY25 total, but Tata Electronics System Solutions reported a 15-month period that year. That makes the combined figures for the two years less than directly comparable.

The figures cover Tata Electronics, Tata Electronics System Solutions and Tata Electronics Products and Solutions. The last is a joint venture owned 60% by Tata Electronics and 40% by Taiwan’s Pegatron.

Exports represented about 76% of the three entities’ reported production revenue in FY26.

ItemDetails
Taiwan₹47,930 crore in FY26 exports
United States₹38,508 crore in FY26 exports
Ireland₹11,980 crore in FY26 exports

Export destinations and foreign exchange costs

Taiwan accounted for the largest share of the reported destination figures, followed by the US and Ireland, where Apple has its European headquarters.

The entities’ combined foreign exchange outgo was ₹1,29,641 crore, more than their foreign exchange earnings. While imported components are part of the manufacturing picture, the outgo could also include licensing fees or other foreign-currency charges; the filings did not provide those details.

Analysts noted that depreciation of the rupee against the dollar may have lifted the reported value of exports.

Revenue growth accompanied a wider loss

Tata Electronics’ consolidated operating revenue rose 96% to ₹1,29,902 crore in FY26, while its consolidated net loss widened to ₹1,611 crore from ₹69 crore in FY25.

Consolidated domestic sales rose 46% to ₹30,182 crore. An industry executive said the figure includes products supplied to Apple India, the local sales and service arm.
