Symrise sales grew 5.3% organically in the third quarter of 2026 as higher volumes supported both of its business segments. The flavors and fragrances supplier reaffirmed its full-year growth and margin forecasts.

Symrise sales growth driven by volumes

Group sales rose to €1.310 billion in the quarter from €1.222 billion a year earlier. For the first nine months of 2026, sales reached €3.850 billion, compared with €3.776 billion in the same period of 2025. Organic growth for the nine-month period was 3.0%.

In its third-quarter trading update, Symrise said growth was predominantly volume-driven and supported by customer demand and more favorable comparisons with the previous year. Pet Food and Care & Wellness returned to positive organic growth.

Organic sales grew 5.2% in Taste, Nutrition & Health and 5.6% in Scent & Care during the quarter. Asia Pacific led regional growth, followed by Latin America and North America.

Full-year outlook unchanged

Symrise continues to forecast organic sales growth of 2% to 4% for 2026, with the result expected near the midpoint. It expects fourth-quarter growth to moderate from the third quarter against higher prior-year comparables.

The company also retained its adjusted EBITDA margin forecast of 21.5% to 22.5%, while expecting the result in the lower half of that range. It continues to forecast an adjusted business free cash flow margin above 14%.

Symrise had repurchased 4.3 million shares by the end of September under a buyback scheduled to conclude on October 30, 2026. The company intends to cancel the repurchased shares after the program ends.
