Firehawk funding of $150 million will support the defense startup’s expansion in Oklahoma and Mississippi, as the company targets higher artillery motor production in 2027. The round values Firehawk above $1.4 billion.
Firehawk funding and production plans
The Dallas-based company plans to use the proceeds to expand its Great Plains Arsenal in Oklahoma and an integration facility in Mississippi.
Firehawk says it plans to produce more than 100,000 artillery motors in 2027. It also expects to become the largest US producer of artillery motors by the end of that year. Those are company plans and expectations, not completed production results.
Hex announces a separate financing
The NYSE’s October 28 pre-market update also highlighted a separate $100 million Series D round for data analytics company Hex. In Hex’s financing announcement, founder and CEO Barry McCardel said the round valued the company at $1.2 billion and was led by Peak XV and 137 Ventures.
Hex also introduced Hex 4.0, a rewrite of its analytics platform designed for AI agents. McCardel said the financing would help the company scale its team and expand its go-to-market efforts.
